Paul Lauer (Retired) was a Captain with the Paterson, NJ Fire Department.
He brings two decades of training, leadership and on-the-line experience in emergency response and awareness, fire suppression, building collapse, swift water and confined space rescue, and life safety.
Lauer served with the Paterson Fire Department for over twenty years. His department typically responds to more than 36,000 emergency medical response calls and 6,000 fire and rescue calls annually, making it one of the busiest in New Jersey. Prior to being appointed Fire Captain, Lauer served in the roles of Firefighter/Engineer-First Responder.
A recognized influencer in his field, Lauer has made national appearances on CBS, NBC and ABC. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree at Kean University in NJ.
