Steven Peluso is an attorney in New York City and an expert in the development of personnel certification and certificate programs having been General Counsel for a nationally recognized test developer. Prior to law school, he served as a Special Agent with the United States Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). Steve is a New York State Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B).
Steve holds an MBA from Columbia University, Columbia Business School; a JD from St. John’s University, School of Law; and a BS from New York University, College of Business and Public Administration. He is a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP).
Steve’s board and leadership positions include:
Director, member of the Executive Committee and General Counsel – Central Park Medical Unit (CPMU) an all-volunteer ambulance service that provides emergency medical services in New York City’s Central Park.
Director and Club Counsel – Tiro A Segno of New York, Inc. Founded in 1888 Tiro A Segno is a private club and the oldest Italian heritage organization in the United States.
At-Large Representative – The Regional Emergency Medical Services Council of New York City, Inc. The Council is designated by the New York State Department of Health as the Regional Emergency Medical Services Council (REMSCO) for New York City and is responsible for coordinating emergency medical services throughout New York City.
Past Director – HR Certification Institute (HRCI), an internationally recognized independent certifying organization for the human resources profession.
Past Chair – ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) Personnel Certification Accreditation Committee (PCAC) the ANAB committee responsible for accreditation under ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024.
Chair – ANAB PCAC State Legislation Task Force.
